Ruckus bogging issue after a New Carburetor
Hello, just picked up a Ruckus that has been sitting for who knows how long. Fuel pump was bad, so I put a new Honda one on. I drained the gas tank (no rust or residue in there) and replaced everything from the fuel tank up to the carburetor. So the lines, fuel filter, fuel pump, the backflow deal and the long hose to the carb. Everything was a Honda OEM part. It would start and stay running but die under acceleration. So I removed the carb and cleaned it. Put back together and it would only do about 23 to 24 MPH on flat ground. So I ordered a new Honda OEM carb. Put it on and it is worse, it will accelerate on the kickstand to full power, but on the ground it boggs out and acts like it wants to die. I got it to full speed (34-35MPH) for a couple runs by feathering the throttle, but overall something still is not right. I drained the fuel tank again when I put the new carburetor on. Possible I got something dirty in the new carb? Carb looked new and clean when I installed it. I am using non-ethanol gas.
I put in a new spark plug and changed the oil/strainer and changed the coolant when I got it.
Any ideas?

Sounds like the air/fuel mixture is off. Are you using the stock air box or aftermarket? Also could be an issue with your CVT maybe the rollers are busted or the contra spring or belt could be bad. Engine puts out such little horsepower and it being carbureted every little thing in delivering power to the wheel has massive impact.
