So my rear passenger window does not work from the rear passenger switch on my 2011 CRV. It does work from the driver side switch, so I think that rules out any issues with the window motor.
I removed the right rear switch and plugged in the functional left rear switch, and it still didn't work. So that rules out the switch.
I looked at the fuse (fuse 32) and it looked fine. I replaced it just to be sure, and it still doesn't work.
What else could it be? I'm thinking it must be the wiring/harness, but I'm a noob when it comes to diagnosing electrical components.
Test for power on the purple wire terminal no. 4 of the connector to the rear passenger switch. There should be power at that terminal with the ignition switch in the ON position (car does not have to be running).
I think that is likely the problem, that there's no power to the switch. I hope to further diagnose this week and I'll follow up. Thank you very much for the prompt reply!
Thanks tech8! That was indeed the problem. I checked the purple wire for power, and there was none. I looked in the door cavity, tugged on the purple wire, and out it came. It was severed at the door hinge area. Got it all fixed up. Thanks again!
