Hey guys, you might close this tread a bit eairly due to its high volume of similar questions, But your help on the subject would be alot for me.
I had overheating issues. Turns out the leak was coming from the water pump. We replaced the old with something that works. Seems fine. (Also high quality head gasket was done as well) . So my problem is I do a S**t ton of driving cause I do deliveries. , yesterday the coolant was so low the engine would get stupid hott, so this morning i toped it up but it took 1/3 off those big jugs. Now i wanna know is this S**t normal? To loose so much coolant from city driving? an average day ill put 300km for a a couple days then i drive for errands too so thats maybe another 30ish KM and the weather is 30c around here. Im so pissed I dont even want to check the coolant level right now , but I should and i will ,just as soon as im calmed down.
(waiting for engine to cool as well)
when I was topping up the coolant I did not notice any leaks coming from underneath the car and when driving I didnt smell any coolant either. And im pretty sure the block aint chipped cause my compression is still where it should be, and oil levels are normal. Ive had the new water pump in for about a month now and only checked it 2 or 3 times about 3 weeks back amd each time fluid was im the neck area.
Can anyone suggest what may be wrong or is that normal for the amount of driving that im doing?
Im just at a point where i want to find the biggest wrench i have and beat the F***ing engine with it till it cant start at all. All the money and time i put into this s**t and than this happend. Please reach out to me some one so i can figure what to do. Its a good car and i dont want to sell or scrap it. Im willing to do any repairs nessisaryy i juss dont know what to repair since all things were done.
*Thankyou!

You should lose zero coolant. If everything was right you will basically never need to top off the coolant.
What is happening is not a leak, its the coolant being burned becuase you have a blown head gasket. Either the head is warped from when you overheated the car before and you replaced the head gasket without making sure the head and block surfaces where flat, or you overheated it again since then and blew the head gasket.
Use a block tester kit to be sure.

Hy thanks for the reply.
I ended up adding coolant to engine only to discover a puddle of coolant under the car. It appears theres a leak in the radiator its self. Now thats its daytime i will be jacking it up to really see.
A striaght edge was used to check for warpage, and it was flat. If problem persits after radator replacent then ill check the cyclinder head for warpage.
Update!! * Turns out the leaking is from a defective water pump, seems the seal is gone, not gasket

Turns out the water pump was trash, leaking ..replaced .. the seal broke in 3 months (came with lifetime warrenty). a small tip, if you hear gurgiling water swootch sounds while going up and down ramps,, be very concerned of your radiator fluids level.😎
