I am in the process of restoring my car.
I used on many parts a rust converter in spray after sanding the rust out.
But since the heat shield is a part that get very hot, is it required to use some special product that can withstand high temperatures ?
Also im open to the idea of removing it despite trying to keep my car as stock as possible.
I scrolled on olders topics about that subject. I read that in canada it is usually removed altogether.
But i also read that removing it :
Can hinder cooling performance of the radiator
Create fire under the car on dry grass
Can mess up the quality of air/fuel mix making air hotter.
I got time i can still attempt to restore it, what would you recommend ?
