2009 Honda Accord EX key fob, red light followed by alarm
Hello!
For the last year or so, I had been using the valet key for my 2009 Honda Accord EX because I had misplaced my key fob. I was doing some cleaning around the house the other day and luckily ended up it! Unfortunately, the battery was dead, so I ended up ordering a 1616 3V Lithium battery and replacing it. Once I had done that, I tried pressing the unlock button on the key fob, and noticed a red light on the key would illuminate for about 5 seconds, then turn off. Didn't think much of it.
I went outside to unlocking the car with the key fob, and the same red light went on, followed by my cars alarm going off. I quickly unlocked the driver side door manually with the key, and once I turned on the car, thankfully the alarm stopped.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on here? I've searched a bunch online, tried reading through the owners manual, but no luck. Does this seem like a DIY fix, or something I'll have to take the car into Honda for?

I will try that and report back, thank you. Also, in case the alarm does go off again, what is the correct way to stop it? Last time the alarm went off, I was scrambling to stop it so I wouldn't bother my neighbors, and honestly don't even remember what I did that worked. I think it was turning on the car that stopped it, but I was also in a bit of a panic to stop the alarm so I don't really remember lol.
If the alarm goes off, first try to use the transmitter to unlock the door to turn it off. If that doesn't work, use the key in the driver's door to unlock like you did before to turn it off.
