Default Mixing brand names???

Possibly a stupid question, but I'm asking more from a curious point of view so please don't flame me.

Do ITR owners think that mixing brand names is a big deal, or should you try to stick with one brand when possible?

For example, my ITR currently has a Spoon header, Spoon CF hood, Spoon CF front lip, Spoon front lower tie bar....

On the other hand I also have a Mugen speedo, Mugen front upper bar and want to get the Mugen rear upper bar.

How many owners don't think it's a big deal to mix and match brand names since after all, if you like a particular part over another, buy it.

Should I get the Mugen rear upper, rear lower and front lower bars, or should I stick with Spoon?

Another example is EPGonzalez's (spelling???) His car has many of the DC2 Mugen parts that one could possibly get ... so would it throw things off if for his own preference he wanted to add a Spoon/Comptech/Brand xxxx part instead of an available Mugen one???

Just want to hear people's opinions on this.

I think you should get quality parts that you like, for whatever reasons they may be.

I agree. When it comes to asthetic products, some people might try to keep a similar theme and puchase same brand products. From a performance standpoint though, I think it differs. To me its most important to have the best functioning product, regardless of the brand.

For example, I would run a comptech Icebox, mugen header, and a fujitsubo exhaust if I knew that the mugen exhaust didnt perform as well as the fujitsubo. Basically, go with the products that produce the highest numbers, regardless of whether they are the same brand or not.

I would like them to be all the same brand to keep a single theme going, but in reality I want the best performing products, and although the brands dont match, you'll forget all about it once you step on the gas.

Ok...not everyone has to build a "___" Mobile. Even EP doesn't have 100% mugen on his car.

Get what you like. I got over the whole "spoon" it out y0 phase a long time ago.

If you are looking more for a theme to impress the crowds (or yourself as well), then the all-one-brand is the way many people go.

but if you just want the best of all worlds, then by all means, mix. nothing wrong with that, 'specially if you got the cash for it =P
