Safe basemap to use until I get my car dynoed?
Hi everyone! My Turbo D16 Del Sol blew up (likely due to running open loop on a shitty basemap for too long) and I'm planning to go B20 turbo for the next motor. Once I get it up and running, What would be a safe and reliable basemap to use to drive until I can get it tuned? That car is my daily (and only car) and my job is half an hour away so commuting has been difficult without my car. Is there a basemap I could use that would be safe enough to drive for a week or two until I can get it tuned? Thanks for the info, and take care!
i have not had to use basemap/ecu services in about 10 years so i dont know if these companies still provide service or if their rep is still good.
phearable
j-k tuning
xenocron
but if i was in your shoes, i would schedule an appointment with a tuner on day off and just have the vehicle towed there.
back then, 90% of people that used a basemap, for some odd reason, decided that it was "good enough" and never get their car tune. they end up ripping on it and blowing up their engine then blame it on the company that provided the basemap.
dont be that guy.

So I called up Inline Pro (planning on having my car tuned by them) and asked if it was safe to run it on a stock basemap before getting it tuned. They said it should be good so long as I use stock basemap and injectors, and make sure to always keep the car out of boost. So I might end up doing that!

Or remove the WG spring so it can't build boost. Then you can go tune your part throttle/off boost while you kill time before you get to the dyno
