ask for help I think I bought the wrong. i want to replace the distributor because the old one has been broken. before buying, I checked on the hondapartsnow.com site (refer screenshot) which confirmed that the part number was correct. but as soon as the goods arrived, I found it was different and did not match the old one.
i can't even install it because the bolt position did not match up. my engine type is d16z6 .i thought i was correct before decided to purchase this item. need help if someone know what is the correct part number for the item and should anybody can identify the wrong one, please let me know which engine using it

seems nobody replied. now i realized that my engine is d15b7. i repurchase the correct distributor and installed it. now the check engine light comes out. but engine can start and i can drive the car.

 

Why did you purchase a replacement distributor, as in what does "broken" mean to you ? What code is stored now while your check engine light is on ?
