My AC has been blowing warm and the compressor makes a noticeable 'grinding' sound when the AC is engaged. The clutch does engage and spin when the compressor is turned on though. I'm assuming the noise could be the compressor clutch bearing; but would that cause the AC to not work? The noise is synchronized with engine RPM; higher RPMs will cause the noise to get faster/higher.
