02' Accord Not Cranking/Turning over (Vid)
https://youtube.com/shorts/Q1Y9nybfVRw?feature=share
Having a problem with my commuter car, 02' Honda Accord. It's a manual and has about 185K. The problem is it won't crank or start. As shown in the vid, the key is able to come out of the ignition with ease - but is that kinda common for 20 year old cars anyways? There was an ignition switch recall that was never done on this vehicle. Think that possibly be the problem? Thanks for any help!

- Ignition switch (The fact that the key comes out makes me think its probably seen better days)
- Starter solenoid wire (Wire that leads from the ignition switch to the starter, supplies 12V to starter when ignition is turned to "Start", could be a short or open or corrosion)
- Starter main 12V supply wire (Leads directly from Battery to starter, check for corrosion or open)
- Battery (You need 12V minimum to turn the engine over with the starter, if it's dead you can sometimes get no starts even if you are getting dash lights and some power)
- Clutch safety switch (If there is a problem with the clutch safety switch or the wiring it can prevent the ignition from supplying 12V to the starter)

Thanks again for the response!
Yeah if that little plastic piece is missing the safety switch won't be activated by the pedal and the ignition's start signal won't reach the starter no matter what, glad to hear you got it solved!
