Hey guys hows it going? im new here my name is Mat and im 30 years old. I'm from Pueblo Colorado . I'm making my way back into the Honda scene it's been quite some time my first car I ever had was a 89 Civic four-door I don't really remember much else about it besides blowing the engine on the side of I-25 and mile marker 112 LOL but I had a 2005 Accord after that then a 93 Mazda MX3 then my baby the 02 Mitsubishi eclipse GT that I miss every single day but s*** happens and life isn't always Fair and sometimes you just got to be happy with what you got or what you get and the cards I was dealt was a 96 Honda Civic DX with a d16y7 motor that had about 2 in of dirt on the inside of the car when I got it and the heater didn't work on top of everything else but I decided to make the best of it or at least try to and I have invested close to Grand in this car trying to get it just to be drivable and safe to have my two kids in. so the first thing I did was hunt down my heater problem which turned out to be the little flap door that opens when he turned the cold to Hot and Hot to cold that was what was broke found that out after replacing the thermostat doing a coolant flush almost replaced the climate control but thankfully I found it was a simple little door. then the next thing to fix on the list was the windshield cuz it was completely destroyed and then my friend helped me by doing the mechanical work for me and he replaced pretty much everything that I could think of the struts the brakes the alternator the water pump did the timing belt oil change complete tune up new battery. then we did the exhaust and I personally installed a new alpine deck with alpine type s speakers all around on the inside with matching alpine amp and then added my 2 12in MTX terminators with the matching MTX amp, then i made a custom self cooling amp rack with a smd temp gauge to control the fans, then i personally painted the car myself which i think i did an alright job for it being my first time painting anything, and then i did a cluster swap with a honda insight cluster to give it a digital dash which i liked the way it came out alot..then i added new aftermarket headlights and taillights aswell as underglow for the interior and exterior. and i put a new touch screen rear view mirror with the back up cam . let me think for a second, oh yeah did the tint and I put a big spoiler on it to give it the fast and furious ricer look which I'll say it right now IDGAF WHAT ANYONE HAS TO SAY ABOUT MY CAR , Its SUPER BRIGHT NEON LIME GREEN AND MY KIDS LOVE IT AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS IN MY OPINION SO IF YOUR GUNA BE NEGATIVE JUST DO US BOTH A FAVOR AND DONT WASTE EITHER OF OUR TIME WITH THE HATE. but yeah i was getting a jump and the person helping me put the jumper cables on backwards and fucked up pretty much majority of all the hard work done to the car.... so now im on the part where ive been replacing what i can part by part but its just not running the same or the way it should for the amount of money put into it..BUT MY BIGGEST ISSUE is the aftermarket steering wheel i put on.... something isnt right with it and i keep getting left stranded ,, the steering wheel turns but the wheels don't.... we just replaced the steering column 2 weeks ago because of this problem.... idk what to do with this car anymore.... its very hard to stay hopeful and positive when **** happens the way its been but i originally wanted to do a motor swap... i wanted to make a g23 and put it in my 96 coupe but idk if thatll ever happen now.. sorry i tried to upload all of my pics and videos i had but not everything uploaded
