I run a 99 crv for my mail car. Trans went bad in it a while back and I’m just now getting around to replacing it. Picked up a trans, started taking everything apart and right as I’m about to pull the old trans out I realize my shifter cable is different. Started looking the new(used) trans over and it’s a fwd not and awd trans. I had already removed my driveshaft so I wasn’t using the awd anyways. So if the fwd will work that’s a bonus.

Is this still an option for me? Will everything still bolt up and work properly if I change out the shifter cable??? Any knowledge would be appreciated.
