Default 5 generation EX engine rebuild questions

I have been thinking about getting either a 94 or 95 EX in the near future. I plan on keeping it fairly stock. I know I want to lower the car and possibly get some newer rims and tires “if the ones it comes with are tore up” ASAP. I would also like to get intake and exhaust later. The problem is the accords I have seen for sale that are in my price range have over 100 + miles and who knows how they have been maintained. How much would it cost to get the engine rebuilt? Would it be cheaper to just run the engine until it dies and do a H22 swap? I am not looking for serious power and I am sure I would be happy with the stock EX engine with exhaust and intake. This is was OT but can someone tell me if the 94 and 95 accords rear seats fold down?

Also I want to thank everyone who replied to my post asking about the different years.

F22b1s are damn robust, I doubt youll need a rebuild before 180-200k. If it does crap out you can either:
a.) Rebuild that engine (~$1100-$1800)
b.) H22a Swap (~$2000+)
c.) Low mile F22b1 (~$400-$500)

I would most definitly do the low milage F22b1. The demand for H22as has driven the price on the ******* to astronomical levels.

yup, the 94-95s rear seats fold down.

This makes me lean towards turboing my F22 even more.

And yeah those f22 can really take a beating. Mine had 190k+ when I pulled it and it still ran really strong.

SoCal engine dropped prices are about $500+/- at small independent shops. In all honesty, when it comes to buying a used car, buy the best used car you can afford and only buy one that has maintenince (sp) records. Try to buy only from the 1st owner too. My car just turned 130k and the motor runs strong and quiet with no oil leaks/burning...its silent at idle. It had full records from new when I bought it and looking thru them, i saw that the oil was changed regularly. Take the time (half hour) to order the dude's records in sync then go thru them to get an idea if they are complete. If the car was maintained at the dealer, even better.
