Help with Del Sol VTEC specific interchangeable parts
Ive got a 1994 Del Sol VTEC, and it sits uncomfortably low for where I live. Roads just wont allow that to go unpunished. Its on an aftermarket suspension, so I cant lift it much. I dont think I can adjust the height of the knuckle. Are all the del sol bodies identical? Can I use anything thatll fit on the lower trims?
Yes, you can use aftermarket suspension for ANY trim level Del Sol. In addition, you can use aftermarket suspension for '92-95 Civics as well.
I'm dealing with the same over-lowered problem on my 94 Civic EJ1. Taking advice of fellow forum members I'll be changing to struts/springs from same year Integra LS. I'd upgrade but have to get the car running and critical repairs first.
FYI: this is personal opinion from personal experience. I wouldn't go lower than 1.5" lowering for street use as anything lower results in premature suspension bottoming, bump steer and inability to clear common obstacles such as speed bumps. Bare in mind compression travel, not just chassis to ground clearance.
