Icon4 2004 CRV: Air Conditioner Temperature Inconsistent

Howdy,
Just bought my brother in laws CRV from him and noticed the A/C blows cold, then warm, then cold, then warm and so on... It is inconsistent. I ruled out the fuses and cooling fan. Thoughts?
Thanks!

Can you verify that the AC compressor is cycling regularly. When the air from the AC is warm , is the compressor still cycling of is the clutch released.

If the compressor is normal in operation, the issue may be in the air mix door.

Heres some diagnostic info.

Thank you for this suggestion. I ran the protocol, it cycled the AC on briefly and then recirculation and AC indicator/buttons remained off. I would surmise that it checked and that there are NO errors or DTCs found.

Low pressure in the system is my guess

Does it cool while driving, start to warm up once you come to a stop, and then cool when you start accelerating again?

Yes, but it is not the condenser fan which this is normally a symptom of?

It is also a symptom of low freon/pressure in the system.

It's more like it'll still cool while sitting and when you start accelerating and the rpm spin up the compressor it will get humid and stop cooling for a second as the freon is moving around the system again.

@muellersfan can explain it better than I can.

Gathered all the necessary items to re-charge or fix low pressure situation. Minute I attached the hose to the "L" port it SHOT to the max of the red for pressure. Seems previous owner over pressured it? Is there any easy way to fix this and would being over pressured cause the same symptoms as under pressured?

Over charged system will cause similar symptoms so I've heard around the shop. I'm guessing you don't have a proper set of gauges to see what's going on with the high-side do ya? If you did, maybe you'd have a better idea of what's going on besides "overcharged"... could be something causing a restriction which is increasing pressure even if you've got the correct amount of r134a in the system.

I had this same issue just recently. Compressor was turning off and on especially when I'm on a stop. At first I thought there was something wrong with my magnetic clutch but after checking the pressure on the low side it was overcharged.
