Icon4 Resurfaced Block Has A Chip!!!! :-/

I got my block resurfaced at a highly reputable machine shop and I took it home and left it on the garage floor. SMH!! My buddy asked to come grab my engine hoist (to do the oil pan gasket on his 1990 C1500 with an LS 5.3 swap) so he came over. We drank some beers & hung out, Well as we were getting to moving around an engine stand that was in the way of us pulling the engine crane out the corner in my garage a connecting rod cap fell and landed on the deck of my newly surfaced B18C1! WHAT THE FRICKK!! Do you guys think I should be okay? I think I should be fine my engine set up will be NA and I will be using ARP head studs on my build. Thanks for any comments and concerns.

run for the hills! That is going to leak if you don't get that filled up with weld and machined true again....

If you're that worried about that ding, weld it and machine the buildup.

Just dont use JB weld..

A good machinist like Joe Alaniz can fix that very easily, weld and resurface just give him a holler! he's a great guy!

This is the correct answer. It is the outside of the block... there is no combustion pressure there... you are simply sealing an oil drain back passage. Stop stressing and put it together... all will be fine.
