Icon4 [HELP] - No error code but CEL and No vtec

Hello all. So i just cannot find the solution for this issue. I have a B16A2, and after the normal service: oil, filters, new water pump, new coolant and new metalic coolant hose (the one from the back of the engine..) the engine started to throw a CEL error, like from nothing and after a week from the service... for example today i started the car, gently getting out of the parking lot, and CEL.. the thing is, if i stop the car and try to pull the error code (chant the two pins from the grey connector by the ECU i get nothing, i put the key to ON position, but no CEL error lights whatsoever. yesterday i was crusing and i got CEL, the car was at the temperature so i give it a pull... and no vtec...
If i stop and start the car again it run fine, vtec engages and everything run like it should... and i can stay like so for quite sometime until CEL pops again.. i just dont have any clue about what this could be... i have like a "handmade" connection to my selonoid ( since the grey connector that connects to it broke... i connected it directly, but its like that for like an year or so.... could this be it??? that with the turbulence or something it does a bad connection and throw CEL.. but then why i cannot pull any error code?? the light simply stays off if i try to pull the error code like i said before... )
The engine has no abuse, i only push it with good temperature and always check the oil level and everything, basically im cautious about the car.. its my weekend summer car..

Please help me!!

When you try and pull the code is that before or after shutting car off when the CEL comes on?

Its right after it cames on, drive a bit until i can stop the car, chant the connector, put key at ON position and no light, it should blink.. but stays off.. i really dont know why.. even the car doesnt behave badly or struggle to pull,it just the vtec that doesnt engage when its on, but like i said, if i stop the car and start it again, its all fine, vtec engages all working good... dont understand..

You need to check the code BEFORE you shut the car off... you may have an issue with code memory that could be simple or could be complex... so once the CEL comes on, pull over, leave the car idling and shove your paper clip into the service connector. Then let us know what the code is.

I never thought it could be done like that, i always thought that the car needed to be off... so if i can do that i will test it as soon i have the error again.. could this be the ecu that is going dead??
Thank you for your help!!
