1989 Honda Civic crank angle sensor
Hello all I’m looking into buying a civic runs and drives great but you make it a mile down the road and the check engine light comes on and scans back to code 4 and it will keep running fine but you punch it and if it gets to 3500 rpm it almost sounds like two step and tries to die let off or grab another gear and it’s back to normal any suggestions on what it is and how to test or fix this I want the car but am not gonna buy something with problems thanks in advance
code 4 means that the civic is in limp mode
thats why you cant rev to high
the fix could be the distributor
but it can also be a timing belt thats not installed corectly
it could be off by a tooth or two and thats why your computer is saying that the crank angle is wrong get it?
and it can also be a 02 sensor thats not connected correctly
hope that info helps
