Hello, i just bought a 1996 accord lx. I'm looking to lower it 2.5 in the front and 2.25 rear as I measured and I still had clearance with my stock 15-inch rims. I have not looked at how wide my stock rims are yet but I was looking at xxrs that are 17x7 +35 offset. I assume my stock rims are somewhere close to +50 offset. doesn't anyone happen to know if these rims would fit even after a 2.5 and 2.25-inch drop? obviously I know I will need camber arms no matter what, but I don't wanna run ridiculous camber. I was also looking at an all-around 2-inch dro which may be better. let me know your thoughts....
I have a 94 EX. I am running 17x8 rims with +45 in front and +40 rear. This is with 215/45 front and 225/45 rear. Clearance is very close It is lowered about 1.5 inches. Can't go any lower because of the condition of the roads around here. Anything any wider would mean rolling the fenders. The rear tire if very close to the training arm on the inside. I have adjusted the camber on front and rear to around 1 degree negative.
If I ran 205/17 tires on 17x7 rims, then I would have a little more to work with. But I like the setup I have.
The stock 15 inch wheels are something like 5.5 inches wide I believe.
17s generally look best on these cars IMO. Anything bigger or smaller looks silly. The 17x7 +35 you listed should fit fine with a reasonable tire. It will sit just slightly inward of the fenders/quarters and should be good for daily driving.
On my turbo car I have 17x8.25 +25 wheels with 235/45/17 tires and I needed an aggressive(flat) fender roll to clear. No pulling required though. I'm not that low, I think about 2.75" all around. I still have about .5" of wheel gap but I have very stiff suspension. The car will scrub in the rear right if I have a heavy passenger and I'm going down bumpy roads but that's it. I ran some 215/45/17s years ago and I had no clearance issues after a less aggressive fender roll.

alright thank you for your opinion. i also thought of some 16x7 rims but I think they have +38 offset so with a 2.5 front 2.25 rear inch drop those would fit easily yes?
