overall the event was good.

only thing i disliked was the noobs in front who couldnt take the turns, slowing me down then having heavy foot syndrome on the straight away (i.e. vette)

then again, I guess all 3 divisions n00b, intermed, and xpert had ups and downs....

Here is mine confrontation with a Z06. This guy is so damn slow that I have to tap the brake constantly at big bend and completely out of my power range after the Esses, when I have to brake for him, that's the time he floors the pedal . I have no fun at the back section...unneccessary braking and shifting everywhere, can't carry the speed through most turns I intended to.
everytime I lined him up after the downhill, he won't point-me by even I am there waiting for him in redline or right next to him. He proceed to drag race me He was doing some 1:20s when I was got cleared up, I got some low 11's.

Both videos are good! but the *** in the red vette, he sould have backed off after that first lap where you were all over him.

Ya have to annoy the **** out of them and make sure the instructor knows your back there, by revvin your engine- it sounds like a Stunna thing to do but I got a lot more point bys that way then just stting back and getting rock chips...

I'll most likely get yelled at before you but I make noise where ever I go..

I used Mini-DV to IEEE into Adobe Premiere 6, encoded with 2mbps WMV.

I nailed my candy bars after I passed the Vette. (I got another vid, but it's another 80mb ) I got hold back so much that it doesn't make any sense of going out to touch them. It's hard to concentrate not to rear-end him while hitting the lines. However, There is this one spot that I was told not to hit them because my car doesn't carry enough speed to warrant it. (The one before the downhill)


Holy crap, never thought that Vettes were that fast. The car just rockets out all the time . Could it be that I was not in VT3C? How do you tell whether or not it's Z06 or not?

I was actually trying a different line my instructor showed me and stick with it for the day. I was off my line quite some times in that video because I don't want to run in to that vette. And I was using reference points on the track instead of cones.
There were two turns that I used the tree shadow for braking point...and forgot they change overtime

I did screw up like a money the first turn in the vid

i'm pretty sure the z06 only comes in yellow and blue and they also have brake cooling ducts for the rear.

 

Nope, silver and red are also available.

Y'all should come to NHIS (new hampshire int'l speedway)
to an scda1.com hosted event. Its a lot more technical / fun IMO
than Limerock. But hey ... hot laps are hot laps.. I dont complain
