yet another JDM DC 4-1 and Carsound review.
well I installed my JDM DC 4-1 header and Carsound cat after waiting about 2.5 months. i first just bolted the header up and started it up and revved it a couple times and it was so loud. I do not recomend running open header to anyone. So then I bolted up the cat to everything else and was done. Thanks to a lift it took no time.
Driving impression:
I noticed a big difference in the top end, but it seems like it takes a little more time to react to throttle response in the low end. From a dead stop it was a improvement all through the band. It made my stock exhaust louder and deeper and when vtec hits it got a lot louder then before
For the money I spent on the header and cat i think it was worth it.

Good to hear. Glad the install went well.
One question: did you advance your timing? When i installed my jdm dc 4-1 and carsound, it was a big difference. 30 minutes later, I adjusted my timing to 18 degrees, which seemed to help increase the low/mid power and enhance the header/cat's increased diameter. Just a thought....
Chris - who tries to get every last bit of fun out of his carsound cat and stock exhaust until they are gone this week....

Yes i advanced my timing awhile ago.
Ive been waiting to do the whole install with exhaust at the same time but got tired of waiting. Waiting this long on a Type One better be worth it

Yes I felt it through the whole range from a stop but it seemed like from rolling speeds that the low end didnt seem as responsive but the top end owned
im at stock height right now. and it really didnt hang too much lower than what I though but you can tell its lower. Havent had any problems bottoming out yet and my driveway is steep so its not that bad

It was so loud and it sounded nasty. The town I live in would bust me so easy, they hates imports already let alone one without and exhaust
