2002 civic with k20z1 swap issues, plz help
Hi everyone, really hoping that someone can lead me in the right direction here.
I have a 2002 honda civic ex four door. I swapped a k20z1 into the car. I also have a kpro ecu installed into the car to run the k20. I have double checked my wiring also. Seems correct.
My issue here is that when I start the civic, the cold start is really rough. Once the cold start is over, the car idles nicely. Then if i give try to rev the car, the car tries to die and backfire. Like a limp mode. I have the right basemap to run the car and have tried a few different with the same effect. In my kpro, my air fuel ratio at idle is around 14/15. When I rev the car, the ratio jumps all over the place and i see a ratio as high as 24 when letting off the gas. This all started when I was testing wires on the harness. I wanted to test the relay ground on the c101 clip. I grounded the wire on the car side of the harness and not the engine harness. When I did this, I got a spark. I thought nothing would happen since it was a relay ground. I figured I blew up the ecu. I got a new kpro ecu and the car still does the same. I have brand new fuel injectors installed and that did not change anything. I also get no check engine lights at all. My question here is, what did I possibly damage by grounding the "relay ground wire" on the c101 clip?
