Ls/Vtec with rdx injectors. What is needed?
as i understand the stock 240cc inj are not enough for lsvtec. i got a super deal on oem RDX 410cc. my question is do i need an adjustable regulator to use these injectors?
i get theat. just unsure if that is too much fuel at 45psi. the rdx regulator is 30 something psi while stock b series is 45. i believe these injectors flow around 440 at 45psi though i may be wrong. im wanting to get everything ready to get tuned.
stock 240cc injectors should be enough for LSVTEC with a small bump in fuel pressure...(depending on cams and other stuff) but you will be likely maxing them out, with the possibility to need a bit more. best to upgrade since you have to have a tune done anyway.
you can run what ever injector you want, as long as the ECU is setup to control it properly. (that part is key and more complicated than most know)
as far as the pressure, the RDX injectors will be fine at the stock honda 45psi.
note: with a stock ECU, dropping in those injectors... it will likely not run and may damage the engine with so much extra fuel. either a good basemap would be required or a tow to the tuner.

awesome! i am using a demon2 and my tuner has HTS or Neptune. im not swapping anything till i get to his shop. im currently on chipped ecu with basemap from Xenocron. another question though. can i just use lsu 4.9 wideband wired into ecu and use tunrerview for gauge interface. thats about $100+ cheaper than buying aem wideband kit.
You need a wideband controller. I like PLX (for a lot of reasons) but you’re not forced to have a gauge with it if you’re using tunerview or similar.
