Default Newly bought 1999 Honda Civic HX coupe. Need help and thank you.

Hello there. So I just purchased a 1999 Honda Civic HX coupe for $1500. Has 117K miles, a manual transmission, and I thought it’s a pretty good price for the mileage (let me know what you all think price wise...good deal or bad deal? Can I resell it for more?). The car does have some things that need to be fixed though. For one, the paint has oxidized (faded out) all over the car so it’ll need a new paint job. Cheapest option is macco for around $400 I believe (does that include labor?). If any of you know of any cheaper options, let me know and I’ll greatly appreciate it. The driver side window won’t go up all the way; it locks up and gets stuck near the top of the window (any solutions?). The door panels need to be replaced. On eBay the door panels sell for $400, but I think that’s a little pricey. How much would it and should it cost at a junkyard?

The engine is a little shakey when you first start it...any reason for this? Also, when you take the oil fill cap off...there is a puff of air. I believe this is normal, but I want to see what you all think.

Now, for the main reason I bought this car...I’m thinking of a G23 engine swap. How do I go about doing this? What all do i need? How much is labor? I’m still a newbie so any info would be greatly appreciated. Would $2.5K suffice? How much could I sell the car for if I ever want to sell with the engine swapped?

Regards

Your best option is to take it by a local performace tuning shop, and they can take a look at it and discuss it with you to see what route you want to take with the car.
