Default Dual point help

I have acquired a 89 Civic D15b2 and it has issues. I adjusted the timing and it idles better but it is still running super rich. Has a new tps , new map sensor , I was wonder if the injectors are able to be taken apart and cleaned or which of the 2 is known to stick causing issues? Any input would be great. Like to use the car a little bit while I am building the swap for it.

I've only dealt with MPFI so this might be different. When adjusting the timing, you jumped the connector specified so that the ECU doesn't adjust the timing for you? When the TPS was installed, was it calibrated? Your speedometer working? How's your A/F sensor? Any exhaust leaks that you know of?

If the dual point injectors are anything like the MPFI versions, they don't appear to be serviceable by end users, except for the seals and filter baskets. There's a service on Rockauto where you can send them in have them cleaned and shipped back to you. There are probably places local to you that do the same, if you really suspect that it is the injectors hanging open.

I bought the car in this situation, I have no idea what they have or have not done. There is no SEL on to pull a code either

Ymmv, but according to Wikipedia the issue is failing seals due to modern fuel formulations - this was an issue that I experienced and it required replacing the injector. Only other option would be a full intake swap. Good luck...

I do have the multi point intake for the car and just got a hold of a SI ecu, just need the harness now or some guidance on how to convert the dual point harness to the multi point inject, I am sure this is a old upgrade, just like to drive the car before I change out the engine in it

You will have to convert dual point wiring. The si wiring is quite different so they are not interchangeable. There are several guides for the swap, check the faq sticky.
