Default F22a1 transmission fitment/cross-reference

I have an F22A1 engine in a 92 Accord 2.2l 4cyl.
What vehicles transmissions will work or engine series will work?

If you can give a little more background, what are you trying to accomplish?

Also, how skilled are you, as there are more complicated answers but they be more than you would want to tackle.

I have a 92 Accord with an F22A1 engine and a bad tranny. I would like to know what other Hondas have a transmission that will bolt up to my engine

I'm also capable of doing almost anything when it comes to taking apart and correctly putting it back together

.Manual or automatic trans? There are a lot of manual options that will fit but I'm not sure about using other transmissions given that they are electrically controlled with solenoids etc.

I think with an automatic you will need to get another for the car of around the same years (1990-1993?) as I believe later ones such as the 1998-2001 auto might bolt up but it won't go into overdrive, so you will only have 3 gears. It will run (I just was on another thread where I presume someone hooked it up and didn't realize they were losing a gear, but it runs!).
Might be able to find one in a junkyard, and they sell them on Ebay for about $500 with shipping.
This one says it only has 77k on it.

If you are capable of doing anything, then I would rebuild your current transmission if cost is an issue. It might be cheaper. It will take longer than a swap, but cheaper.

I can get one from a pick and pull around here for about a hundred fifty bucks but that's a pick and pull there's two or three to choose from without driving a hundred miles

That's great, $150. Just clean the solenoids, personally I would change the gaskets, also replace the axle bushings in it, change the fluid, and be done!
