I purchased a 2000 civic and found the left rear door latch to be stuck.

how do I manipulate it to unlock so I can replace it?

so far I have the door panel and actuator out of the way, just trying to find out which lever to pry on to make it release.

A note: the child safety lock will not release.

well I’ve been studying that video(even though it is of the front door)and I can’t seem to locate the release he is picking at.

 

*RESOLVED: the latch release lever was so gummed up with corrosion and dirt that it wouldn’t move. Once I found out which position was unlock, I was able to force the latch open. I have cleaned it and lubed it, and it appears to be working fine.

now to just work on that water leak from the window...
