2000 honda civic front door won't close

2000 honda civic front door won't close
I just washed my 2000 Civic and while cleaning inside the front door I hit the inside of the lock mechanism and now the door won't close...I know I am an Idiot but how do I fix this???

If you've just knocked the latch it will probably be in the locked position, either use the key to unlock it or just get a screwdriver and pop the lever thing back to the open position
