Default How does wheel speed sensor work on drum brakes

I own a Civic 1996 hatchback.
I understand that the front wheel sensor work send its input by changes in magnetic field caused by teeth on the cv AXLE.
But how does the sensor works on the rear brakes which are drums ?

The rear wheel hub assembly has an ABS ring (pulser) with teeth.
