I have a 94 Honda accord LX 2.2 319k miles, Runs pretty damn good...... however I am having Electrical issues and Smog Issues, and I figure If I can solve the Wiring issues, I may be able to solve the smog issues next.
2 major things ive noticed, Is my windshield wipers will not turn off.... so I pulled the fuse...... but with addition to that when I have the turn signals on, sometimes My RPM guage Bounces to 0 or sticks on Zero. also when Im accelerating the RPM guage Will Bounce to zero and then Go back to the Correct RPM Reading. This has nothing to do with the engine, Its Just the guage that goes bonkers..... Upon Inspection of the Fuse Box on the passenger side under the hood, I found a White 3 Wire Plug (google says its C256 to the main harness) that has a burnt electrical smell to it and does appear that excessive heat has melted a portion of this connector.....
My ECM was recently replaced due to a bad board. no check engine lights, no stored codes.
I cant for the life of me find what the hell this C256 Connector Does.... Any help is appreciated.
Diagrams can come from either the ETM (electrical troubleshooting manual) honda produces or if you want diagrams that are pretty close, I would check out the "AutoMate" from your local library. Most libraries have a subscription to ebscohost and some form of linking to the Automate. While not as detailed as a Mitchell on Demand Subscription or a Honda Online Subscription, it does a fairly good job, lists the appropriate connectors and for some cars, tells where its actually located like the FSM does.

awesome, I used my meter and a couple T-Pins and im getting the correct voltage to the connector in question... I did notice the crappy battery terminals were loose, even tightened all the way down, I was able to wiggle them off the battery, so I adjusted them and now they are on snug, The RPM gauge doesn't around anymore. The only thing left is once I turn the windshield wipers on, I cant turn them off without turning off the Car.... Is that Likely the wiper stick on the steering wheel column?
I thought if the wiper didn't stop it was the wiper relay that has gone bad.
Ok, I will look into that.... it does all kinds of weird stuff. sometimes if I turn the car off and restart the wipers will stay off, and If I activate the misters or pull back on the wiper "stick controller" it will make a few wipes and turn off..... and then some days It just turns on with the car, ive yanked the 30 amp fuse for now.
Took the car for smog, Failed on Hydro Carbons. ive changed many smog and ignition items just getting this car in working order.... only thing left is 02 sensor and Catalytic converter which is original to a 320k mile vehicle.
