Default FB22B engine oil leak under distributor

My son's FB22B (89k miles) has a small leak right under the distributor. What is usually this fix? Also is there a shop manual out there?

Thanks

If this is the same as the F23A, it's most likely the distributor itself that is leaking. There is an o-ring inside that you replace.

This will show you.

I didn't have a lot of time to look, but that was where it seemed to come from. That should be an easy fix if so.

There are two places there can be a leak around the distributor. The oil usually ends up in the same area, so it can be a little hard to tell which seal is leaking at first. There is the o-ring around the distributor shaft which goes into the head. That is addressed in the video above. Then there is the internal seal inside the distributor itself. It can be replaced but requires disassembling the distributor and its internal parts to get at the seal. If it is the internal seal which is leaking, there will be oil inside the distributor cap itself, mostly on the bottom. The thoughtful engineers at Honda even included a place where it could leak out when it goes bad. Either oil leak usually causes the oil to leak onto the heater hose under the distributor and rots it, causing it to break, lose water, overheat the motor, and possibly warp the head.

ordered the Bosch 03381 kit. Looks like it has 2 o rings and the cap.

Picking up the NGK Vpowers, NGK 25th anniversary edition plug wires, and the David Graham shop manual on CD.

And then all the interior door handles since he had an ivory interior, but slowly converting to dark grey/black. He has all the door panels. I picked up the leather kit. Now we have to figure out the seat trim, rear package tray and seat belts. The trim can probably be refinished, but the seat belts may be harder to figure out.
