I’ve got a p0325 code but the car isn’t in limp mode.. bought my gen 8 used a week ago with knock sensor code and was wondering if the only way to do it is to remove the intake manifold? I’d rather not have to replace all the gaskets and stuff just to do the knock sensor.. this is not the SI so it’s not the easy one on the front and all I can find is write ups for the SI.. has anyone done this? Is it impossible to do without removing the intake? Any help would be much appreciated.

im also aware of the little bit of info everyone posts with the link to how to do it. I’m wondering if someone has actually done it and figured out a quicker way or if it is indeed possible without removing the manifold rather than someone just copying and pasting a link they saw on other forums.
Jack up the car and safely support it. Try to see if you can see the knock sensor from below. If you can and there is some room to reach in there or remove something from either below or above to reach in there, then you can try. Otherwise, the standard way would be removing the intake manifold first.
These photos show the general locations of the connector for an A/T vs. M/T.
thank you so much for the pictures.. I have the manual transmission, it looks like I can see the plug wire creeping out from under the manifold mounting bracket if the photo is of the engine I have. If I can remove that bracket and access the sensor without removing the manifold that would be great otherwise I’ll have to order the gaskets and take the whole thing apart.. I appreciate the help, I’ll Jack it up and check it out this weekend before I order parts.
