Default 99 civic no power to cks

Hey so I bought a 99 civic ex with a d16y8 and I have a p0335 code for the crankshaft position sensor. I checked the plug and it has no power I checked it while the key was on and also while the car is running. The car will not rev over 3500. I’ve already changed the distributor. Any help would be great.

The crank position sensor is inside the distributor. Changing the distributor should have fixed your problem had it been the sensor itself. So, check continuity for the wire pair leading to the CKP at the distributor from the ECU. If your wire pair tones clear and strong... try another known good ECU.

Turned out to be a wire came unpinned from the distributor plug on the harness side.
