Vtec engagement issues
Hey guys
new here, great to of joined up
so I have issues with my vtec engagement in my 2000 ek1 sedan
i have done a motor swap out of 95 ek3 hatch with the d15b 3 stage vtec, in the swap I used the ecu and engine loom from the 95 hatch and stuck it in my 2000 sedan
now the problem is when that motor was in the hatch everything worked fine vtec engaged properly ect, but since the swap I have problems
problem is to get vtec to engage I have to first let the car warm up and take it over 5000rpm, then shut the engine off for about 15-20 seconds then re start it, once it’s restarted vtec will engage.
what am I missing ? There is one plug I have found but it doesn’t have a sensor that I can see to plug into.
any help will be great
thanks
