2009 Honda Civic limp mode problems
Working on a 2009 Honda Civic 1.8 5 speed came to me with a bad engine got another 1.8 from another 2009 Honda Civic automatic car. Swap went great fires right up went to drive it made it about 1/4 mile and check engine light starts flashing won’t rev up turned around and made it back to the house checked the codes doesn’t have any. Unhooked the battery for a minute or so fired it back up revs up fine till about 3-4000 rpm then check engine light starts flashing no codes again. Looked over everything seems tight and hooked up. Both grounds I took off on driver side and passenger side I cleaned and hooked back up not sure what I’m missing. My google search said something about the alternator being loose can ruin the ecu it’s tight. Not sure if I need to change something on the engine like a sensor since it came from an automatic and mines a 5 speed. Any help is appreciated!
