Just got this car and I didn't notice the light was flashing :p

I know it's supposed to be off whenever there is nobody in the seat, but even with a passenger it still flashes. I found the following in a thread .

Has anyone fixed this themselves or possibly troubleshot this problem? I want my passengers to be safe when I'm driving
