Default Mysterious knocking noise(video)

Its a D16Y8(vtec)
Had the same noise both before an after recent top end rebuild.
I did adjust the valve lash of course. no change.

From what i can tell with a stethoscope, its coming from the rocker assembly. I say that because it's louder on the timing cover(which is bolted directly to the rockers) than anywhere on the rest of the motor(but maybe the head/block vibrates less).

During the rebuild i replaced:
accessory belts
tensioner
w. pump
T. belt
Head gasket
valve seals
other various gaskets.

I'm completely empty handed. Only a few long shot ideas. Maybe re-seating the rocker assembly, cleaning/replacing the LMAs, or checking the rod bearings.

Any suggestions?

I had seen this thread before but i guess i didn't watch the video. Whatever caused this guys problem back in 2014 is it. It sounds EXACTLY the same, unlike the 100 other "d16 noise" videos I've heard.
