Default Back to basics of ITR forum... Just finished my 30k Vavle job...

It went real smooth and no problems. I must say the motor has never sounded so responsive

When it stops raining here when that is its beyond me I'll take the biotch out for a run.
all the exhausts were loose and the intakes were still factory spec from when I bought the car.......

later.

You just saved yourself $100 from having the dealer do it.

They need a day or two to let the engine cool down.

I have to do mine too. Got to buy the right tool though.

I used the car last night and then I waited till the last second before dinner and then did the job. My dad was rather pissed I did not cook so he went out and bought KFC for us... somethings work out better if ya lollygag

And having the right tool IS the ONLY way To do iT! don't even attempt without it, your life will be over and probably your vavles too

Do everyone use the snap-on tool? Harbor Freight tools have a set for only $15. Not sure about the quality though.

I bought my tool from the Mac tool truck. Brand, Unknown but looks and feels real solid.

Snap on and Harbor Freight is the same. I use the Harbor Freight and it's worked great.

Just curious...do they cost the same?
No, Snap On is over $40 and the Harbor Freight is under $20. The design of the tool is the same. I'm sure Snap On is better quality and all but since the design of the tool is the same and it doesn't really get put under any hard stress I couldn't justify spending the extra for it.
