1997 Accord LX Automatic: engine won't turn over
Happened all of a sudden....the motor will not crank. Battery fine, cables are fine (I removed the ground cable and dressed the ends), with key in on position all dash lights, radio etc seem to work fine. Moving key to start position, no clicking, no typical solenoid sounds, nothing. Also, with the headlights on, moving key to start position, there's no discernible dimming in the headlights. Anybody have any thoughts?
thanks!

thanks! You can try to jump the solenoid see if it cranks. Also a 50amp fuse under the hood. If manual the clutch interlock. If auto the gear position switch or not in park.

Thanks for the input! It's an automatic. The battery feeds an 80 amp fuse in the under-the-hood fuse box, and it appears intact. I'll try to jump the solenoid and see if that might identify the problem.
