Hello all,
So I just picked up a 1997 Accord LX Coupe with the manual transmission. She needs a few things. One of those things appears to be a wiring harness for the left side of the vehicle. According to my research, the specific part number is Honda Part No.:32120-SV4-A11. However, I've found this...OEM Left Wiring Harness Factory HONDA 1997 Accord 2DR Part 32140SV2G03. Most places I have searched online do not say they are interchangable. However, I'm hoping to find someone that has a better answer. For reference, I'm attaching a screen shot of the harness I found, and a pic of the issue that needs to be repaired. Mahalo in advance.
You may have to do some searching/cross referencing part numbers. It's possible the eBay listing you found is for a V6 model, which I would assume would have to be slightly longer to accommodate for the longer front end. It may be the same other than that.
I don't know what he was doing. The driver's side tire had a blow out, I think. She seems to drive fine, otherwise. Aside from the horrible fuel leak. Lol.
So, if the harness is for a V6, then it's just a little longer? Like, there's nothing else I need to be concerned about? I'm trying to do my research. But, this is the first time I'm doing anything like this, and I don't really have anyone knowledgeable that I can just bring over and ask. I'll see if I can cross reference the part numbers. Though, I'm not sure where I could.

I would go to the junkyard and pick off a car that's exact match of yours. You'll be able to get every part you need. These cars are plentiful in this junkyard.

I certainly plan to. The issue is, the local yards aren't open during hours I'm normally free. Lol I make special trips when I can. But, there aren't many Accords from this gen at the yard, anyway. So, I like to know my options. Speaking of which, is the harness for the coupe the same as for the sedan? This may sound like a noob question. But, I am a noob. Lol
For your 1997 LX with MT, the U.S. Honda part numbers are 32120-SV4-A11 or 32120-SV4-305 (superseded A11). The part number 32140-SV2-G03 doesn't show up on U.S. Honda dealer sites; so, it may be related to exported models in other countries where the connectors may or may not be the same (for example, they may have some other running light configuration or connectors).
If you search at a junkyard/salvage yard you're essentially looking for the left engine harness from a 96-97 LX or EX (MT and AT are the same). 94-95 left engine harness are not the same (less connectors).
Wagon, DX, and V6 are different left engine harness. V6 has different and less connectors for that left engine harness.

Wow. Thank you so much. This is the kind of info I've been looking for. Hopefully, I'll be able to find something at the junk yard soon. I have one other question that isn't related to wiring. But, I thought I'd ask while we're here. This girl also needs new fuel lines. I'll look at the junk yard. But, my question is, would it be just as effective to use those braided lines that they sell on amazon? Ordering OEM lines is just a bit expensive for me. I know t there is the route of buying something like Nickle Copper line, and fittings. But, I'm not familiar enough with flairs and whatever else I'd need to do to ensure no leaks happen.
