I have two different feed backs on this swap. 1 mechanic has to me that in order to do I would need to replace ECU , engine Harness in order to pass smog. Mechanic # 2 says straight swap no changes needed same engine just on steroids. I want to know for sure before in invest in the project. Has anyone completed this swap ?

 

I'm not familiar with that particular swap but you will at minimum need the ECU and whatever else is required to run it. The J30A ecu won't be able to compensate adequately for the differences between the engines. The J35A may run on the J30A stuff but it's unlikely to run well.
