Default P/S Rack

Alright guys, I have a 99 Civic Lx and I need a power steering rack. Mine has been discontinued so I have to use a aftermarket one. I am not going to Oreilly's because their parts are garbage and I have had past issues with those mouth breathers. I've been told RockAuto is a good place to go. Where else is good?

autopartsway is a pretty solid online auto parts supplier. I get many oem parts from them without the dealership markup quite often.

I recommend "DetroitAxle" on ebay, I have bought 3 rack and piniions three different times and the racks are good to go and they usually come with new tie rod ends already on them. After years of driving they are still like when I installed no leaks no issues great.

I'll check them out. What about Napa Auto Parts. They are a chain store, but there parts are MUCH better quality compared to the other ones. I've bought from them before and and zero issues.

I have to say I am shocked. Detroit Axle has close to (4,000) 5 star reviews. I am not a fan of Chrysler whatsoever, but for whatever reason people love those parts. Were the quality of the racks you bought good quality?

I took my car to the dealership to have them confirm that my rack is bad...NOPE, it's my P/S pump. It's losing pressure according to the techs. The rack is bone dry and functioning properly. I have to find a good aftermarket pump. The one I have now is a O'reilly's pump. It didn't even make it a full year without failing. Doesn't surprise me one bit cuz O'reilly's parts are pure garbage. Every single part I have bought for them for my Honda failed within a year.
