Default Making your own engine harness?

Im new to the hondas i owned a 94 accord with vtec. My car got totaled and i want to keep the rebuilt engine. So im swapping its drivetrain into a 95 metro that was given to me. So i need help with making a stand alone harness i've even pulled the dash and removed all the dash harness since the engine computer connectors where wrapped in with it. I was wondering in there is a pin out of the harness or if someone else has already done it?

For the ECU wiring there are pinouts available if you Google search. For other wiring, the Honda service manual will be your best friend as it has very detailed wiring schematics of all the systems.

First step is to separate and depin the chassis wiring from the ECU wiring on both the under dash and engine bay looms and connectors. Then take all the ECU/Engine wiring and tape it all back up to suit your current build.

that's all I did.....

Happy wiring!

As mentioned above there are detailed Honda wiring schematics available for the 94-97 Accords.

Hey very impressive. Way to be resourceful. Are you going to bring over the axles as well? I don't think the GEO axles (being a toyota / GM mix) will fit right. Then you will have to size the axles since they might be too wide.

I'm not really familiar with the Geo Metro, but I'm thinking the wiring harness will be the easier part of this swap.

Unless you can swap the front suspension components as well.......

Agreed, that's why I thought it was interesting to attempt this. The size of the vehicle, a hybrid of Japanese and American into one car, I had a friend with one and it was always interesting to get parts, since sometimes it matched to a Suzuki part and sometimes to a Chevy part, with both metric and standard bolts on the car. He'll need custom engine mounts, trimmed axles from the Honda as the Geo was only a 60hp car or so this will be a big boost to that car.

yes im pulling the axle out of the honda and the metro. And once engine is placed to get measurements im goin to take both sets and have the cv axles made so they will fit in.

I suspect you will need a some work to make the steering work as well. Maybe pull the steering column to get the right splines to fit.
So are you thinking to move the rear over as well, or just live with two different size wheels, the front being Honda and the back being Geo.

And, what's your plan to get the front brakes to work? Bring over the hubs and rotors and the brake booster?

Post pictures as you do the work, I'd like to see the motor mounts mocked up myself, as those are in quite different locations on the two cars.

You should see a attachment button in your reply message area. Or if you have a cloud link you could dump those there as well.
