where can i get specs for iac valves? i need the frequency of the iac used on this throttle body - 2003-2005 Honda Accord 2.4L L4 Automatic Trans (not for Manual); 2003-2006 Honda Element 2.4L L4
yep, have all the hardware, software and manuals. got to the part where they wanted IAC frequency and got stuck. also have the JimStim simulator and i am doing as much setup in my dining room as possible before i take the car off the road to fit all the components.
i am not building it for performance, just topless enjoyment. it is like driving a big go cart - very raw - but great fun. my 2013 Fit would probably beat it.
Sweet, have to love a good canyon cruiser. I am doing similar on my 85 Fiero GT build. Got my MS3 sitting on my office desk top hooked up to a Moates ECU simulator and a few other output devices.
Best to try and get everything bench tested before install.
whats involved in your build? and what is a Moates ECU simulator?
i am swapping from twin ZS carbs to Triumph PI throttle bodies with the individual throttle plates removed, the mechanical injectors replaced with Bosch 19.5lb EV4 injectors, and adding the TB mentioned above to the air "plenum". (TR6's were available with mechanical fuel injection - PI - back then. just not in the usa. had to get the tb's and plenum from australia.) have to add a crank sensor and high pressure fuel system too. just going semi-sequential at first. if i get it going to my satisfaction i will add a cam sensor and go full sequential fuel. then maybe do ignition from the MS.
thanks for the help, and good luck with your build also. never drove one but they look like a fun car.
Sounds as though we have similar builds. The Fiero is a wicked little mid engine 2 seater that is a blast to drive!
I am going from an early 80's GM batch fire fuel injection to a fully sequential fuel and spark setup. Would have been easier just to do a complete engine swap, but i like to make things more difficult on myself. So I stuck with the stock engine and had to add cam and crank trigger wheels and sensors. It was actually fairly easy to convert the stock distributor to a single tooth cam sensor and the 36-1 tooth trigger wheel for the crank is a bolt on wheel and a Ford VR sensor.
I am also fabricating an individual throttle body setup to replace the very restrictive stock single throttle body and intake plenum setup.
The MS3Extra has everything that I need for a reasonable price. I bought the DIY kit, took a few hours and a couple inches of solder to get it up and running...lol
