Default Battery, Door Indicator, Maintenance and Brake lights on.

I know this topic has a lot of post about it, but I have a few questions about mine that I can't find any answers to. 2000 accord 2.3, the battery, door indicator, maintenance and brake lights came on. The consensus I've heard is the alternator or battery. The car charges at 14.5v with lights and ac off, with them on its 13.8. The scan tool said the target voltage is 14.5. I had another almost brand new battery in another car so I swapped it and the problem is still here. Here is where it gets weird if I put my battery charger on it and push the voltage to 15.8 the lights go out. Anyone know anything about this?

99% chance this is the alternator, not the battery in this case. It sounds very similar to myself and many others when it is acting weird. In my car, once the SRS light was the one that kept coming on along with other odd dash lights. The first time it was the same as yours, plus the radio when turned on would reboot itself like it had been unplugged. All signs of low voltage and the alternator.

Also, you might find as annoying. I found that most of the aftermarket alternators were hit and miss. In one case it took 3 tries before I had one that worked. After that I started buying remanufactured OEM Honda alternators, which have seemed to do better than the aftermarket. Had this on both my civic and Accord happen.

Thanks for the replys. I will try an alternator. Were they Denso aftermarket alternators you tried, or another brand? I was going to get a Denso. Also where do you buy your rebuilt OEM alternators?

I buy them from Ebay:

1 yr warranty

And it is a denso.

So the alternator fixed it. It's weird that it can charge to the proper voltage and still screw it up.

Thanks for the replys.
