My family owns a 1993 Honda Accord 2.0 fuel injection, manual transmission. Locally here in Malaysia it is known as the SM4 Accord but since it is right hand drive, it is technically a CB3. It previously had an alarm system installed which I believe was aftermarket (not from factory).
My family paid a mechanic last year to delete the alarm system. However the mechanic understandably only eliminated the main control unit for the alarm system leaving behind lots of unnecessary wiring.
In December 2020, the car was sicker then ever before. Dangerously stalling on the move. We decided to not spend any more money on it. So I thought I would try clearing the remains of the alarm system.
Since then I have made slow progress. Removed the front seats and the dashboard (very difficult). However as I progress along slowly, I am constantly perplexed by disconnected wires and wires which are suspiciously spliced together.
I believe creating 1 new thread for each wiring inquiry I have would be considered spam. So instead I plan to use this thread to get assistance on the various parts of the wiring as I go along.
Starting with this: There is 4 wires (white, red, blue and brown) next to the pedals that is not connected to anything. I have traced it back to the drivers door. It is connected to door lock motor (?, not sure it is called). Location of this door lock motor shown in red square (refer to image). Are these 4 wires factory? They are suspiciously neatly routed. The door lock motor has 5 wires. The 5th one taped from the harness plugged into a Mitsuba RK-0207.
