Hi all, new to the forums and i have a question, what would i need to get a d16y8 intake mani to work on an automatic d16y7? i havent been able to really find anywhere else talking about the specifics of the swap and whatnot.
Any help is appreciated, thanks

You will need an automatic Y8 manifold so that you can still use a 3-wire IACV, just like you have on the Y7 manifold. Your Y7 ECU will not operate a 2-wire IACV. Also, make sure you get the same version type intake manifold. If your engine is a '96-98, then get a '96-98 auto Y8 I/M... if your engine is a '99-00, then you need to find a '99-00 auto Y8 I/M.

I do have a 99-00 so I would need that same version, but everything else should be fairly plug n play?

I want to clarify my above post... I don't want to lead you down the wrong path. You will need a '96-98 EX (Y8) style automatic intake manifold regardless of what year Y7 you have. The '99-00 EX intake manifold has an additional vacuum port across the top edge that would create a huge vacuum leak on your cylinder head. The intake manifold selection is only critical for Y8 (EX) style cylinder heads, and the '96-98 and '99-00 model year break dictates which intake manifold you would use... NOT for the DX/LX "Y7" type cylinder heads.
As for everything else being "plug and play"... you will have some wire/plug moving, and maybe some needs to be lengthened... but it IS straight forward.
