First of all two kids so that is why four door second of all I have owed a 97 civic that started out as a 1.6l vtec that got hydro locked and swap to a b18 and missed have vtec this was it
now I have the 04 with the d17 and want bigger motor I don’t race it I just want to swap it and the only thing I think that can be easily put in this year car is a K24 so that is why I want to do it and who has done a four door for the longest time while I owed the 97 I want to buy a four door and swap the si motor into it until I was pushed into a guard rail on the highway and had to part out the 97 I step away from Honda for a while and it would make me happy to have a four door with a K24 and no I don’t want a accord or crv so what if it is a four door and I don’t want the si
A heavy 04 Civic is 2,700lbs. K24 fully dressed is about 100lbs heavier than a D series fully dressed so..... I mean 500lbs is 500lbs. And with limited HP weight is king.
I mean I went through all the trouble of plucking a K24 out of a 12 SI to plug into an 11 CR-Z. All said and done the CR-Z is only 300lbs lighter than the Si. But a K powered CR-Z is COOOOOLLLL. Or so they say anyway. Okay, it is cool. And I would much rather have the CR-Z over the 9th gen SI, so ugly.
plus haters are going to hate anyway so I don’t care I do what makes me happy and a k24 swapped 04 civic ex with a k24 will do just that

Even the TSX with the factory body kit? Like a strange mix of JDM and Euro trash. Only thing I don't love about the TSX is the steering wheel looks like it comes out of a big rig. Why the monster wheel diameter?
I mean go for it. Hasport makes mounts. The halfshaft options are out there and documented. You can do the RSX PCM and retain mostly everything. I do believe you need Hondata to reprogram an output on the RSX PCM to control AC in this swap. I think there is even a power steering line kit to use the K series power steering pump on the Civic rack. The big torque of the K24 will be a really nice addition to a daily driver.
the si or ep3 which is the hactch of my year has the k24 but I don’t want the hatch I never liked the look of the hatch

EP3 was K20 but that is just being pedantic. But having something in the same generation come with a K series makes the swap a bit easier.
You are certainly not the first to take this on. I would recommend searching for some completed builds and take notes on what is needed to complete your swap.

Or just look in the stickied thread that says "► FAQ's and Guidelines - READ BEFORE POSTING!" since there's a K-swap guide in there.
