They are the exact same bellhousings. Did you leave an extra alignment dowel in the transmission or block?
Oh you might be struggling with the pilot bushing if someone installed a K20 bushing, they are smaller than what is found on the K24. Pretty common to go to a K20 style flywheel and clutch on the K24A2. The bore in flywheel is same size just the bushing thickness changes.
