Adjusted the clutch pedal throw and now I have no pressure in the pedal
I recently replaced the clutch master and slave cylinder but after the install the pedal was to high so I went to adjust the height and I turned the push rod the wrong way and disconnected the pedal from the assembly. After I reconnected the pedal and set the height I went to test the pedal and realized it had no pressure. So I tired to bleed it and nothing changed so not I’m kinda thinking I messed up the master but I’m not sure how I could have done that so I figured I’d come here and ask since I’ve use this form to help me fix other problems I’ve run into thanks in advance
IMO you have a leak in one of the cylinders more likely the one you adjusted that has the rod that pushes into the cylinder next to the pedal no longer holding pressure--needs to be replaced IMO. Or the slave clutch cylinder at the bellhousing has a leak or least probable a line. If you recall how adjusted the original rod length was I would adjust the rod that much.
I tried to put everything back to the way it was before I tried to adjust it and it still has the same problem. Both the clutch master and the slave are brand new, not even a week old and i didn’t do anything that should have messed up a seal or anything so I’m the point were I just replace it again or take it apart and see what happened to it but I’m really not trying to pull the mast cylinder back out again
I understand but sometimes even brand new parts can be faulty. I would then disconnect the line going out of the master clutch cylinder and have someone pump clutch and see if you get anything there and work your way one way or the other. I bleed my clutch cylinders by using a rubber hose on the slave cylinder bleeder valve and the other end in a glass with some brake fluid in it (the hose end is in the fluid that way no air gets back in the system and then open the bleeder valve and pump the clutch.
I replace the master again and still nothing. I’m not to sure what I could be doing wrong and this it’s the the first time I’ve bled a clutch before so I know what I’m doing. The only I can think of is that the hard line is messed up somewhere leading to the slave. Gonna get a steel braided line off eBay and if that doesn’t fix the problem then I’m not to sure what it could be after that. And keep in mind when I first installed the new master the car drove fine and clutch felt great after I messed with the pedal height it all went down hill from there. I don’t think I overextended anything so that’s where I’m at now. I’m gonna mess with it some more tomorrow and if I find anything else I’ll let you guys know

When I first install it I didn’t set the height the same as the old one so when I went to tried it out the bite point was way to high. If it wasn’t for the fact I hit my knee every time I shifted I wouldn’t have messed with it
Just went to look at the car again. I checked all the lines that lead to the slave and there no leaks that I can see so I’m a little confused what’s happening here. Cleaned everything with brake cleaner and I started pumping again and rechecked everything and still no leaks so I’m not sure what I should do now
How does the clutch pedal feel like? I would get a piece of hose (same size that fits the slave cylinder bleed valve and put one end on it) place the other end in a glass that has brake fluid in it enough that no air will get into the line. open the bleed valve and have someone pump the pedal and see if the volume increases-remember to refill the reservoir frequently. If no one around pump the pedal yourself and chek to see if the volume increases. Do you hear any noise near the clutch pedal area when you pump the clutch pedal- If you have fluid coming out to the glass then either there is air in the line: either there is not enough pressure in the master/slave cylinders to push the pressure plate/clutch plate or your pressure plate has an issue. At least this is what I would do. Preferably have someone pump the clutch pedal and chek for noise/leaks all the way to the slave cylinder. You will solve it just need patience.
check the action of the clutch pedal look underneath and see if all looks right when you depress the clutch
